Privacy Policy

Ottawa Senior Sitters is a small local business run by Bella Amasa. This page explains, in plain language, what happens to the information you send through this website.

What the form collects

When you fill in the consultation form on this site, you choose what to send. The form asks for:

• Your name
• Your relationship to the senior
• The senior's neighbourhood
• Your phone number
• Your email address
• The best time to call you
• Anything you write in the notes box about the care that would help
• Whether you ticked the box agreeing to be contacted, and the date and time you ticked it

Only your name and phone number are required. Everything else is optional, and you are welcome to leave the notes box empty and tell Bella the rest on the phone.

Please do not send detailed medical information through this form. A phone call is a better place for that conversation.

How the information is used

Your details are used for one purpose: so Bella can contact you about your enquiry, arrange a free consultation, and follow up about visits. They are not sold, rented or shared with anyone for marketing.

If you ticked the consent box, Bella may also contact you by phone, text message and email about Ottawa Senior Sitters services. That consent is optional. If you leave the box unticked, Bella will still reply to the enquiry you sent, because you asked her to.

Where it is stored

Form submissions are sent to a Cloudflare Worker and stored as a contact record in GoHighLevel, the customer management system Ottawa Senior Sitters uses. Both companies act as service providers and may store or process data outside Canada, including in the United States. Access to the contact record is limited to Bella and to anyone helping run the business on her behalf.

Contact records are kept for as long as they are useful for serving you, and are removed on request.

Website measurement

This site uses two measurement tools:

• Microsoft Clarity, which shows anonymous, aggregated information about how people move through the pages, so the site can be made easier to use.
• Meta Pixel, which records that a consultation request was submitted, so any advertising spend can be measured.

Both tools set cookies or similar identifiers in your browser. You can block them with your browser settings, an ad blocker, or your device's tracking controls, and the site will still work normally. Neither tool receives the notes you write in the form.

Text messages

If you agree to be contacted by text message, you can stop at any time by replying STOP to any message, or by asking Bella directly. Message and data rates from your mobile provider may apply.

How to see, correct or remove your information

You can ask at any time to see what is held about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted. There is no form and no charge. Email hello@ottawaseniorsitters.ca or call (343) 777-4655 and say what you would like done. Requests are actioned within 30 days, and usually much sooner.

Children

This site is meant for adults arranging support for themselves or a family member. It is not directed at children, and information is not knowingly collected from them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with an updated date at the top.
